Rules of Play for the Feeding Hope 50/50 Charity Raffle

Feeding Hope 50/50
  • The Feeding Hope 50/50 Charity Raffle will consist of monthly 50/50 draws from August 2021 until June 2022.
  • All tickets will be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older. Tickets may not be purchased in the name of a minor.
  • Tickets are 10 for $10; 40 for $20; 100 for $40
  • Tickets will be sold using an electronic raffle system supplied by Canadian Bank Note
Monthly Draw Schedule:
    • Draw #1: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Sunday, August 1, 2021 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of August 2021.
    • Draw #2: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 30, 2021. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of September 2021.
    • Draw #3: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Friday, October 1, 2021 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 31, 2021. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of October 2021. 
    • Draw #4: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Monday, November 1, 2021 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of November 2021.
    • Draw #5: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday, December 31, 2021. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, January 4 2021. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of December 2021.
    • Draw #6: Ticket Sales from 2:00 p.m. ET, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, January 31, 2022. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Monday, January 31, 2022. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of January 2022.
    • Draw #7: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, February 28, 2022. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Monday, February 28, 2022. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of February 2022.
    • Draw #8: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday April 1, 2022. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Friday April 1, 2022. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of March 2022.
    • Draw #9: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Friday, April 1, 2022 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday May 2nd 2022. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Monday, May 2 2022. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of April 2022.
    • Draw #10: Ticket Sales from 2:00 pm. ET, on Monday, May 2, 2022 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of May 2022.
    • Draw #11: Ticket Sales from 9:00 a.m. ET, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 until 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Draw will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 30, 2022. The winning prize will be half of the sales for the month of June 2022.
  • After buying, patrons will be given, by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
  • The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Numbers Generation (RNG) system for all raffle numbers sold for the draw.
  • The amount of the 50/50 will be monitored on the web site and, will be 50% of the totals sales for the draw that month.
  • The winner’s name and/or winning number will be announced on the web site, social media channels, and in print on Food4Kids Waterloo Region site. The winner will also be contacted directly by a representative from Food4Kids Waterloo Region.
  • The winner may claim their prize by contacting Food4Kids Waterloo Region by email at 5050@food4kidswr.ca. The ticket may then be brought to 10 Washburn Drive, Unit 4, Kitchener, ON N2R 1S2, at an agreed upon time, for ticket verification. The winner will then be awarded the prize amount by cheque. Winners much have an original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.
  • The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
  • The winner must provide government-issued photo identification and verify their phone number and address in-order-to claim their prize.
  • Once the certified winner is verified and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
  • Online tickets sales must be claimed by the individual names in the original purchase transaction. Food4Kids Waterloo Region is not responsible for any division of winning prize amount to any other party other than the individual named in original purchase transaction.
  • In the event that no winner comes forward, then the winning stub will be kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated back to Food4Kids Waterloo Region with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
  • Ticket purchasers must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of the purchase.
  • The following individuals are excluded from purchasing a ticket:
    • Members of the Food4Kids Waterloo Region, Board of Directors and Board Committees
    • Full-time, part-time or student employees of Food4Kids Waterloo Region
    • Family members who reside at the same address as Food4Kids Waterloo Region
    • Board of Directors, Board Committees, or staff
    • Employees of the supplier of the 50/50 system who are involved with the development and/or support of the 50/50 system
    • Employees of the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • All ticket purchases are final sale.
